We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team in Brampton, Ontario. The successful candidate will assist physiotherapists in providing effective rehabilitation services while ensuring patients receive professional, safe, and compassionate care.
The Physiotherapy Assistant will be responsible for:
- Assisting physiotherapists with patient treatment and rehabilitation programs
- Guiding patients through prescribed exercises and activities under supervision
- Preparing treatment rooms, equipment, and exercise areas
- Assisting patients with mobility, transfers, and functional activities
- Observing patient responses during treatment and reporting relevant information to the physiotherapist
- Supporting patient education and exercise programs
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized clinic environment
- Completing required documentation and following clinic policies
- Providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming experience for patients
- Working collaboratively with physiotherapists and the wider healthcare team
Previous experience in physiotherapy, rehabilitation, kinesiology, or a similar healthcare environment is an asset.
