Description

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) to join our growing healthcare team in Caledon, Ontario. The successful candidate will work closely with physiotherapists and patients to support treatment programs and help deliver high-quality patient care.

The Physiotherapy Assistant will play an important role in:

  • Assisting physiotherapists with patient treatment programs
  • Preparing treatment areas and equipment for patient sessions
  • Supporting patients with prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities
  • Assisting with mobility, transfers, and functional exercises as directed
  • Monitoring patient progress and communicating observations to the physiotherapy team
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment
  • Supporting patient education and encouraging adherence to treatment programs
  • Maintaining accurate patient documentation and following clinic procedures
  • Providing friendly, professional, and compassionate patient service

Previous experience in a physiotherapy, rehabilitation, or healthcare setting is preferred.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, patient-focused, and comfortable working as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant or in a healthcare/rehabilitation setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow physiotherapy treatment plans and instructions
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable assisting patients with exercises and mobility activities
  • Ability to work effectively with physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals
  • Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
